Select Balance is a small, family-owned supplement company run by Stephanie Grutz, ARNP, FNP-C, and her partner Alex Goerdt. It didn’t start with a marketing plan. It started with patients. For more than 10 years we’ve worked hands-on in health and wellness, and every formula we make grows out of what we’ve seen help people feel better.

What makes Select Balance different? These are practitioner-formulated supplements. Hi, I'm Stephanie Grutz, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and I care about you. Meet Stephanie

At 20, I was diagnosed with seronegative rheumatoid arthritis, and later with severe Crohn’s disease. I was told it was just bad luck and I’d be on medication for life. I didn’t accept that answer. I went looking for the root cause, and that search became my life’s work.

Today I’m a board-certified family nurse practitioner (ARNP, FNP-C) specializing in integrative medicine, and the founder of The Health Spa by Vive in Peosta, Iowa. My approach is simple: everyone else treats one part of you. I look for the root cause in ALL of you.
