How long until I notice a difference?
Hair and nails grow slowly. Most people start to notice a change around 6 to 8 weeks, and the results get stronger after 12 weeks.
Will biotin affect my lab tests?
It can. At 5,000 mcg, biotin can throw off lab tests that use a biotin-based method, giving falsely high or falsely low results. Tests that can be affected include thyroid (TSH, free T4, T3), troponin (heart), PSA, hCG (pregnancy), vitamin D, vitamin B12, ferritin, cortisol, estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, FSH and LH, parathyroid hormone (PTH) and insulin. Tell your provider and the lab you take biotin. Many providers suggest pausing it for 2 to 3 days before blood work.

Anyone who is pregnant or nursing, or taking prescription medication.
